These photos have an artificial graphic appearance, which is used to reflect the artificial nature of this constructed landscape. The backgrounds have been darkened to highlight the geometry of the landscape and to prevent the eye from escaping to the horizon. Thus, the eye is attracted by the surface of the salt, white as an empty page except for a network of engraved lines. The contrast between the organic patterns created by the salt and the rectilinear structure of the basins establishes the dynamics of this landscape, and reflects the intervention, sometimes brutal, of man in nature.
