(A)Head-in-the-Clouds

This series is about traversing or passing through, a landscape. The title plays on two ideas: the unknown of what is up ahead – the mystery that lies around every corner; and our state of being as we pass through the landscape with our ‘’head in the clouds’’. The sinuous, meandering cloud formations, enhanced by the high-contrast treatment of the image, form a path that leads us across the landscape into regions unknown and yet to be discovered, which, for the present, only exist in our imaginations.

This series is the result of the time spent wandering in the mountains, watching the cloud formations ebb and flow over the peaks. The clouds both obscure the peaks, yet, at the same time highlight the reliefs. The rhythm and flow of the clouds animates the landscape as if the mountains themselves are breathing.
